I urge world and ASEAN leaders to acknowledge Thaksin's claims

As I stated on June 27, 2025, in Preah Vihear Province, it is undeniable that online fraud kingpins are widespread across Thailand, with Bangkok being a stronghold for cybercriminals and large-scale money laundering operations. This criminal network has increasingly spread from Thailand into Cambodia.

Recently, on July 9, 2025,

Thaksin publicly admitted during a televised interview in Thailand that major online scam operators are residing freely in luxurious apartments worth billions of baht in Bangkok and are traveling freely to and from neighboring countries.

On July 9, 2025, Thai immigration police arrested a major figure involved in online gambling and money laundering valued at 11.52 billion baht at Don Mueang International Airport. At the same time, a report from the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) indicated that drug production and trafficking in the Golden Triangle region, bordering Myanmar, Laos, and Thailand, has surged significantly. Thailand has become a major transit route and a key distribution hub for large quantities of narcotics flowing out of this region.

Therefore, I call upon world leaders as well as ASEAN leaders to recognize Thaksin's revelations. Furthermore, I urge Thai politicians to stop blaming Cambodia without evidence, while turning a blind eye to their own country, which has become a haven for scam syndicates, drug traffickers, and money laundering networks.

Previously, the Thai Prime Minister, currently suspended from office, stated that closing the border with Cambodia to combat online gambling would constitute a serious Political immorality in relations with a neighboring country. Such an issue demands regional cooperation among governments to jointly tackle all forms of transnational crime.

I also came across news just a few days ago where Thaksin declared there would be no war between the militaries of the two countries, but that “this is a diving contest—whoever can stay underwater longer will win.”

In my interpretation, Thaksin was referring to the endurance needed in sustaining the border closure, suggesting that the party who can withstand it longer would emerge victorious. If that’s the case, then the mastermind behind the closure is none other than Thaksin himself. Cambodia is committed to playing this game regardless of how long it takes. The real concern is whether those urging this game will collapse before the game itself ends.

At some point, I may need over three hours to fully speak about Thaksin—whom I helped from 2006 to 2025. On the evening of June 15, 2025, Thaksin conveyed through Khlang Huot that Anutin, the leader of the Bhumjaithai Party and Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister, must be removed so that the Pheu Thai Party could take control of the Ministry of Interior. I responded then, "Remove him, and be ready to be removed."

Personally, I am not surprised by Thaksin’s betrayal. He betrayed even his own nation, so it comes as no shock that he would betray someone of a different nationality like me. But Thaksin should not forget the many things he confided in me, seeking my advice, such as removing a defense minister within 24 hours and his insults toward the Thai monarchy, both the former and the current sovereigns.

Some Thai intellectuals have remarked that I have gained a clear grasp of the Thai political landscape. And how could I not, when Thaksin has been providing me with updates and soliciting my input nearly every day, every week, or every month, depending on his workload? And none of this has to do with Cambodian affairs, but rather his politics in Thailand.
